Lancaster PA Spas and Salons, This Is For You – 5 Ways To Get More Clients

One of the most important aspects of running your business is getting more customers or clients. From there, you have to keep your customers happy, so they continue to come back and so they become your best marketers.

In this week’s edition of helping local businesses gain more clients and customers, we are going to focus on Lancaster PA Spas and Salons.

If you are a Lancaster PA spa or salon – here are 5 ideas on how to grow and maintain your current customer base.

1.  Discount Cards/Coupons

We all know that discount cards and coupons work, but how do you ensure you are targeting your audience accurately?  Great places to put discount cards or coupons – local restaurants in ‘high business’ areas, such as downtown Lancaster.

Nowadays, so many people are stressed and in need of a massage. If your discount cards or coupons are available for them to grab during their lunch break, or nice dinner, most people will be happy to do so.

2.  Bring A Friend Program

If you have an existing customer base, create a ‘bring a friend’ program and advertise it with your current clients. For each friend they bring, offer the customer and their friend a one-time 25% off discount, or a certain $ amount off of their next session or spa service. You can offer this discount for each new friend they bring for the first time only, or make it a recurring model and offer it each time they schedule a 2-person session.

3.  Loyalty Program

Create a simple loyalty program; for instance: ‘buy 4 1-hour massages, receive the 5th at half price”. Customers will be more inclined to return to your spa in the future if they are part of a loyalty program. This will especially be valuable if you’re a spa offering multiple services. If you’re trying to grow your customer base, offer a ‘refer X friends and receive a free massage’ program.

4.  Last Minute Savings

Offer last minute discounts (a day or two in advance) for days where you have openings in your schedule. The best way to do this is through social media sites like Facebook and Twitter.  With Americans spending an average of 40 minutes per day browsing their News Feed (and most people spend much more time than this), reaching them at the last minute has never been easier.

5.  Birthday Discounts, Other Freebies

Offer birthday discounts or freebies. When clients sign in, have them give their birthday and email address in order to get special offers. On their birthday, send them a freebie or heavily discounted rate for a service. This is a great way to ‘remind’ them of your spa, in case it has been a while since their last visit. You can also utilize their email addresses to send them updates and other specials throughout the year, which further strengthens your relationship with them.
