How To Choose Best Keywords For Blogging

Blogging Is Very Important, But How Do You Choose The Best Keywords For Blogging To Make Sure You Get Results?

In today’s SEO world, blogging is a must if you want to generate traffic and links to your site.  Creating shareable content is the key, however, many people ask us – “how do we come up with a blog that people will want to share and link to?”

Our short answer; think about a question or problem that many of your (potential) customers have and provide them an answer or solution in the form of a blog post.

Let’s look at a real-life example of how this is done.

For this example, let’s pretend you are a dentist:

As a dentist, you can be sure that your current and future patients will have a lot of questions.

One topic that is especially popular right now is teeth whitening. In order to find a blog topic about teeth whitening, head over to Google and beginning typing ‘teeth whitening’ in the search box. Google’s auto-fill tool will suggest some highly searched topics, as seen below:

There are 4 great topics that immediately show up – select one of these ‘ideas’ for your next blog.

For this example, let’s choose ‘teeth whitening cost’. Now that you have chosen your topic, it’s time to come up with the keywords to use for the blog.

First, you know that ‘teeth whitening cost’ is a good keyword since it was the #1 suggested, however, we would also suggest using the other (relevant) suggestions in your blog – ‘teeth whitening products’, ‘teeth whitening kit’, ‘teeth whitening strips’, etc.

Be sure to add these keywords into the following sections of your blog post:

– SEO tag (title and description)

– URL of blog

– Title of blog

– Header inside blog

– First paragraph of blog

– Last paragraph of blog

There you have it, a quick and easy way to figure out what to blog about.

Now that you have a system in place to find topics and answer questions that your customers have, it’s time to get writing!

Blogging is one of the easiest ways to generate rankings for long-tail keywords, which in turn means more (targeted) traffic, which is something we all want more of!
