As a marketing guy and business owner, I’m always looking for ways to get “our message” seen by the right people. Getting our message in front of the right people gives us an opportunity to sell our products and services.
As an entrepreneur who has his entire livelihood tied up in his own hustle (not to mention an entire team relying on us to continue to make things happen for their livelihood to thrive), it is extremely important that our companies continue to differentiate themselves from the competition.
Thanks to websites that allow you to update easily, thanks to social media sites that allow you to get your message seen by a lot of people, thanks to email campaigns still being an effective form of online marketing and more, it’s never been easier to get your message out there.
Here’s the real challenge: what’s the message you’re putting out there and how does it differentiate itself from your competitors? You see, getting seen is only half the battle.
The second and even more challenging part is to keep the attention of your ideal customer once you’ve initially gained it. And remember, you and a whole bunch of your competitors are overcoming these same obstacles, day in and day out.
So, here’s what we highly suggest you provide as your “message”:
Give them something valuable for FREE – without expecting something in return
It doesn’t have to be a free product or entire service, but give them an initial look at something; a case study, tips/insights, etc.
We’ve found our greatest success with “marketing campaigns” is where we create something valuable and give it away. Of course, that “give away” has our information all over it, so, as our ideal customers digest it often, they think of us; anytime they share it, their friends think of us.
It’s a gift we give that keeps on giving because the value is shared exponentially as more and more people utilize the quality information, and someday may give back to us in the form of a client.
In the spirit of Christmas, here are links to two of our best value driven giveaways:

We hope you enjoy our gifts to you.
If you have other ideas for ways to get your message out and separated from the crowd, we’d love to hear.
